9-23-03 Raritan Bay: Insane! Blue Blue fishing ,we have been finding fish all day long These fish are Blitzing baby Bunkers(2-3in). Small bunker patterns olive/white with flash have been working. False Albacore are also feeding on the baby bunker but are hard to catch. Bass activity is increasing if you target them and forget about the blues and Albies.
8-31-03 Raritan Bay: Bluefish Blitzes lasting for hourswith fish from 5lbs to slammer Blues up to 12lbs. Spinning tackle with Plastic shad tails were working.
8-30-03 NY Bight: False Albacore are in our area and are taking small epoxy flies and small Tins on spinning tackle. Lots of Bluefish Blitzes with fish up to 5lbs, clousers olive/white & chart/wht are the choice pattern.
8-17-03 Sandy Hook: Slammer Bluefish up to 12lbs, Clousers fished deep are the choice pattern. Spanish Macs up to 3lbs are available look for them leaping out of the water. The Albacore should be here any day now!
